Here's my new Spring & Summer Work-Break song for all you beach dreaming, hardworking, Five O'clock Somewhere, Margarita drinking waterdogs! Me? I've had my nose to the grindstone dreaming and I haven't seen a beach in over 35 years. I've never forgotten my love of blue water, being a lifeguard, and all my gigs in my 20's on the Gulf Coast, Florida and the Bahamas. This song is also a gentle poke about our complaining nature and especially about taking time to celebrate life, to work & play. After all my hard years of working (and not as a musician) Verse 3 outlines another wish that is so important to me. We must all put an effort into to saving the many forms of the endangered life, including ourselves, the incredibly intelligent whales, our coral reefs, on this tiny blue dot in the universe.

Life Is A Beach

Verse 1
I've had plenty of reasons but I rarely complain Spent too many seasons in the cold and rain
I've dreamed of the seashore some tropical fun
Just wanted a tan my skin is raw from the sun, well

Life is a beach
Clear blue water and sand are in reach
At a seaside sand bar we have so many happy hours
Life is a beach

Verse 2
We know life has its valleys but I've been climbing the walls
There are so many mountains and so many falls
We deal with the failures, how many heartaches?
Don't suffer the pains, let's get to the breaks where

Life is a beach
Clear blue water and sand are in reach
At a seaside sand bar we have so many happy hours
Life is a beach

Verse 3
Life is stardust and plankton, seawater and clay
Did we crawl up the sea-shore
That's what they say
Now we're killing the coral we're wasting the whales
We've got to save them
Life is so frail, go live it!

Life is a beach
Clear blue water and sand are in reach
At a seaside sand bar we have so many happy hours Life is a beach

Bridge
Yeah we've all had to rough it
So we'll just have to tough it out with Margaritas by the bay Forget all your problems
We'll dance through the islands Take me to a place far away where

Life is a beach!
Clear blue water and sand are in reach
At a seaside sand bar we have so many happy hours
Life is a beach
Wistfully reflecting...
Now Life can be so rich
Yet so easy to end up in a ditch
Someday we'll all retire with just so many happy hours complaining
Life... is... a...
Life is a beach!
Clear blue water and sand are in reach
At a seaside sand bar we have so many happy hours Life is a beach
Life is a beach
Clear blue water and sand are in reach
At a seaside sand bar I'm just so thankful that I've got a
Life... and it's a beach!
Let's face it... Life is a beach
Maintaining... Life is a beach
You'd swear that...
Life... is... a... beach...
What a beach! What a beach!
